Gauri tyagi, a 1.5 years old girl child from Phule nagar slum in PCMC is a beneficiary of the TML Malnutrition project. In August 2017, she was found to extremely malnourished, almost in fatal conditions. Moreover, her family was homeless. She was picked from these fatal and extremely harmful conditions and was admitted to the NRC for further treatment. She was completely recovered after a 14day’s treatment, however, going back to the same community was a risk. She also has a 7-year-old sister who was living in similar conditions with only the mother who is incapable of taking care of the children. SNEH Foundation, along with Child welfare committee, planed their rehabilitation and currently both Gauri and her sister are staying in 2 different institutions that provide them with basic needs along with education.
