We at SNEH believe in the power of volunteering and so we entitle them ‘change makers’. A team of change makers in Delhi – NCR took a plunge and initiated yet another chapter in project ’gyaan’. Team identified a marginalized community in heart of Noida – Sector 18 and started mobilizing the kids by conducting weekend classes. Started off with 5-6 kids in not more than a year the class strength spiked to 50+. Snehis also conducted a baseline education survey and identified the children not going to school. After successfully enrolling the kids to school, team identified two young girls, trained them and started daily classes for the few souls who missed crucial years of education.
45 kids have been enrolled to public/private schools till date.80 kids have benefitted from the initiative.
INR 50K raised for sponsoring the education of bright kids who are enrolled to English medium schools.
