Bhimrao, a poor farmer from Akkalkot migrated to Pune because of drought and debt. With 3 daughters and a pregnant wife, life was’ bad to the bone’ in one of the marginalized slum of pune ‘Kalakhadak’.
SNEH Foundation understood the plight of the family and started working to help them in every possible way.
Jyoti, the youngest daughter who was severely malnourished and stunted is now part of the global growth hormone research project and is being treated by topmost doctors in India.
Vijaylakshmi, the eldest daughter who quit her studies to support her mother is now enrolled back to class 8th in Secondary school Wakad.
Saraswati, is one of our brightest in our daily classes at Kalakhadak and continues to surprise us with her hard work and ability to learn.
After the mother gave birth to the 4th kid, a son, we counseled her to get the sterilization done.
Bhimrao is now motivated and working hard to raise the standard of the family. As an organization we believe in bringing the change that is sustainable.
